A friend in need is a friend in deed. This has brought an interesting discussion amongst my friends @ The Breakdown Café. While some believe this saying is talking about your true friends, when you are in dire straights, will never abandon you. Others argue that the definition could be that if a person is in need, they will be "your friend in deed". That is until they get on their feet and no longer need you. What do you think?
