TIPS FOR WHEN YOU SHOULD GO TO THE ER.

We are so thankful to the nurses and doctors who take care of our emergent care needs in the Emergency Department (ED/ER) of our hospitals. These needs range from life-threatening respiratory (breathing) problems, cardiac emergencies (heart attacks) to trauma (injuries from gun shot wounds, traffic accidents etc). Here's a friendly reminder. The Emergency Department (ED/ER) is NOT intended to address typical clinic care needs.  If your doctor's office doesn't have an available appointment, try utilizing other options like Urgent Care Clinics (UCC). These clinics can be found in most cities and towns. UCCs are staffed with qualified APRNs and/or Medical Doctors who are equipped with the skills and knowledge for your urgent care needs. Please leave the ED/ER for life threatening emergencies and utilize UCCs for your urgent care needs.
