KIDNEY STONES

Kidney stones can be quite painful. Kidney stones result when urine becomes too concentrated and substances in the urine crystalize to form stones. Kidney stones may form in the pelvis or calyces of the kidney or in the ureter.

Symptoms arise when the stones begin to move down the ureter causing intense pain.

Some causes of kidney stones are directly connected to our diet.
For instance, chocolate, colas, tree nuts, legumes, peanuts, and tea have all be linked to causing kidney stones.

Prevention: Drink more water. Some medical professionals agree that if you drink straight lemon juice this will prevent kidney stones.

If you suspect that you have a kidney stone, contact your medical provider for testing. You may need some antibiotics as well.
