EASY SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE

SUGAR COOKIE
THIS  SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE IS SO VERSATILE. I USE IT FOR COBBLER CRUST, SHORTBREAD FOR MY STRAWBERRIES, AND OF COURSE A SLIGHTLY SWEET SUGAR COOKIE. HERE'S THE RECIPE BREAKDOWN:

SUGAR COOKIE DOUGH



DRY INGREDIENTS: COMBINE IN LARGE BOWL

COBBLER CRUST
2 1/2 CUPS  ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1 CUP CAKE FLOUR
1 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER

CREAM TOGETHER
1 CUP UNSALTED BUTTER, SOFTENED
1 1/2 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR

THEN MIX IN:
3 LARGE EGGS ONE AT A TIME

THEN ADD:
2 TEASPOONS VANILLA EXTRACT
1 TEASPOON ALMOND EXTRACT

ADD DRY INGREDIENTS TO WET INGREDIENTS. 

TURN DOUGH ONTO PIECE OF PLASTIC WRAP. ROLL INTO LOG. PLACE IN THE REFRIGERATOR FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR BUT UP TO 2 WEEKS. WHEN YOU ARE

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE
READY TO MAKE SHORTBREAD, COBBLER, OR COOKIE JUST SLICE THE DOUGH AS NEEDED.  FOR SHORTBREAD AND/OR COOKIES  SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR THEN BAKE IN 350 DEGREE F . FOR COBBLER, SLICE ENOUGH COOKIES TO COVER COBBLER. TIP DOUGH WILL SPREAD TO COVER COBBLER.
