Turkey Burgers

I just love Turkey Burgers. I use 99% fat free ground turkey breast. You're probably thinking, "They will be dry." Trust me. You know I love to eat food that taste good, but is also good for me. Enjoy!

HEART HEALTHY TURKEY BURGERS

1 LB GROUND TURKEY
1 small onion chopped finely
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1/2 red bell pepper finely chopped
1 clove garlic chopped finely
2 Tablespoons Chicken Broth Low Sodium & fat free
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes (optional)*
Seasonings to taste 

Makes 4 burgers or 16 sliders

Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix. Don't over mix. It will make the burgers tough. Place burgers in non stick skillet. Cook on top of stove on medium heat, put them on a grill, or place under broiler in the oven. Since olive oil is already in the burger, you don't have to add any to the pan if you use a non stick skillet.

#If you don't have a non stick skillet, heat skillet with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. * I like it spicy. You may want to adjust the amount of pepper flakes to your taste.
++Be careful, since this is poultry, you must cook these burgers until all the pink is gone. Don't forget to wash your hands and anything that touches the raw poultry immediately to prevent cross contamination. If you are intimidated about using ground turkey, try scrambling it and using it in tacos and chili.
