EVERY ONE WHO HAS EVER TRIED MY SNICKER DOODLE COOKIES HAS LOVED THEM. I AM BLOGGING THIS RECIPE SO THAT OTHERS AROUND THE WORLD MAY ENJOY THEM AT HOME.
IN A LARGE BOWL:
CREAM TOGETHER USING A WOODEN SPOON:
1 STICK OF UNSALTED BUTTER SOFTENED
3/4 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
1 TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
ADD: 1 EGG
INCORPORATE COMPLETELY
IN SMALL BOWL WHISK OR SIFT TO COMBINE:
1 1/2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/4 TEASPOON SALT
1/4 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
1/4 TEASPOON CREAM OF TARTAR
COMPLETELY MIX WITH BUTTER MIXTURE.
FORM MIXTURE INTO BALLS TIP:TO MAKE MORE UNIFORMED COOKIES USE A SMALL ICE CREAM SCOOP.
THEN ROLL DOUGH IN CINNAMON MIXTURE (KIDS LOVE THIS PART)
SMALL BOWL: COMBINE 2 TEASPOONS GRANULATED SUGAR WITH 2 TABLESPOON CINNAMON.
PLACE THE CINNAMON COVERED BALLS ON COOKIE SHEET THEN BAKE IN PREHEATED 350 F OVEN. BAKE 10 TO 12 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN. LET COOL ON BAKING SHEET APPROXIMATELY 2 MINUTES. MAKES ABOUT 24 COOKIES.
