LEMON BUTTER COOKIES

THESE COOKIES ARE BUTTERY, LEMONY AND DELICIOUS.

  •  DIRECTIONS


    1. Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl: sift together flour, poppy seeds, baking powder and salt. Cream together butter and sugar in large bowl at low speed until combined. Add yogurt, eggs and lemon peel until  smooth. Spoon in flour mixture just until blended.
    2. Use an ice cream scoop to drop cookies onto greased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown on edges. Cool on pan for 1 minute then place cookies on wire rack.. 
    3. Whisk all glaze ingredients in small bowl until smooth. Spread ½ teaspoon glaze over warm cookies. Let stand until set.
    4. You can sprinkle iced cookies with lemon zest.
